Congratulations to Oli Liu from Beijing, China on her purchase of Wimpys Little Magnum, a coming 3 year old by Wimpyneedsacocktail and out of Doug's mare Magnums Remedy and the really pretty 2 year old Whizkey N Blonde, a perlino stallion by Whizkey N Diamonds, out of Im Not Blonde (her very last offspring). Oil plans to leave them both here in training for the Futurities, under Doug's guidance and help and assistance with Chen Tiecheng, also from Beijing who wants to train and show here in America as well as promote reining in China.

Rest Stop Inducted into NRHA Hall of Fame 2010

Congratulations to the great mare Rest Stop on being inducted to the 2010 NRHA Hall of Fame. Doug showed this mare to the NRHA Open Futurity Reserve Championship in 1988, prior to her purchase by Marc Wagman. Mark then showed her in non pro classes with great success. After becoming a stellar producer, Rest Stop was killed by lightning in 2005.

Congratulations to Friedeman Burkhardt on his purchase of Dreamin Bout Chics. Dreamin Bout Chicks, sired by Magnum Chic Dream X Im Not Blonde, was successfully shown by Jamie Bissel and has earned multiple top finishes including NRBC finalist, winning the eliminations.

This fine stallion now stands at Circle L Ranch in Wenden, Germany where Doug has been doing clinics for over 30 years.

NRHA Hall of Fame 2006 Doug was inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame in 2006. The Hall of Fame committee places emphasis on the nominee's unselfish contribution to the Association rather than on their personal accomplishments. "Membership in the Hall of Fame is a means of honoring the members whose efforts NRHA could not exist without and is not intended to merely congratulate people for being successful competitors, breeders, etc." Thanks to the many, many trainers, non pros and others who wrote letters of recommendation for Doug's nomination.
